The Best Sunscreens

We all want to get some sun this summer, but protecting ourselves from harmful UV rays is imperative! According to Environmental Working Group, there are some basic rules to follow while choosing the proper sun protection.

The Basics:

  • Avoid sunscreen sprays due to chemical inhalation
  • Avoid sunscreens with retinyl palminate (a form of vitamin A), which can cause skin lesions
  • Avoid sunscreens with oxybenzone, a hormone disrupter
  • Choose a sunscreen with zinc or titanium as the active ingredient
