1970 - Jimi Hendrix died in his London apartment at the age of 27, after overdosing on sleeping pills.
1971 - Pink Floyd played their album Atom Heart Mother at the Classical Music Festival in Montreaux, Switzerland.
1972 - The Who headlined Londons Rock At The Oval festival.
1976 - Boston released their classic song "More Than A Feeling."
1978 - KISS members Ace Frehley, Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley, and Peter Criss all independently released solo albums.
1983 - The members of Kiss took to MTV without makeup on the same day that they released their album Lick It Up.
1987 - KISS released the album Crazy Nights.
2002 - Bon Jovi played at the Shepherd's Bush Empire in London, while over 375,000 people watched the show via a live web cast.
