1968 - The Doors are Open, a documentary about L.A. rock band The Doors, was aired on British TV.
1969 A George Harrison song got the A side of a single, "Something"/"Come Together." The release marked the first time in Beatles history that a Harrison-penned tune was the lead song on a 45.
1979 - The Eagles released "Heartache Tonight."
1980 The Sex Pistols Johnny Lydon was arrested in Dublin after being involved in a barroom brawl.
1994 - Glenn Frey underwent colon surgery.
1995 - Alice in Chains released "Grind" as the lead single from their self-titled album.
