1969 - John Lennon and Yoko Ono's Plastic Ono Band made their live debut at Toronto’s first ever Rock 'n' Roll Revival Concert, with Eric Clapton on guitar.
1974 - Stevie Wonder began his first tour after a near-fatal car accident.
1983 - Huey Lewis and the News released their third album, Sports.
1985 - Sting began his first solo tour with a gig in San Diego. The Police frontman hit the road to support his album Dream Of The Blue Turtles.
1989 - Bruce Springsteen recorded his version of "Viva Las Vegas" for The Last Temptation of Elvis.
1989 - Sting made his debut performance onstage at the Threepenny Opera in Washington, DC.
