1966 - John Lennon met Yoko Ono in an art gallery.

1971 - John Lennon released his classic album Imagine.

1972 - The Eagles released the song "Witchy Woman."

1978 - The Rolling Stones’ "Beast of Burden" was released.

1978 - U2 served as the opening act for The Stranglers at Dublin’s Top Hat Ballroom.

1979 - Singer/songwriter Yusuf Islam (Cat Stevens) married Fouzia Ali.

1981 - Sting and Phil Collins made their first ever solo performances at Amnesty's International's "The Secret Policeman's Other Ball."

1996 - After 22 years of marriage, Tom Petty's wife Jane filed for divorce.

1998 - The Sex Pistol’s Johnny Rotten appeared on an episode of Judge Judy. The rocker was sued by a drummer who claimed he was head-butted by Rotten during a contract dispute.

1999 - Nine Inch Nails made their first-ever appearance on a televised award show at the  MTV Video Music Awards.
