1958 - Buddy Holly married Maria Elena Santiago in a private ceremony at his parents’ Lubbock, Texas home.
1965 - The Beatles set an attendance record with their Shea Stadium concert, drawing 56,000 screaming fans to the show.
1969 - The Woodstock Music and Art Fair kicked off in Bethel, NY. The iconic three-day concert featured 24 bands and drew nearly half a million people.
