1966 - The Beatles' 1966 album Revolver hit stores in the U.K.
1975 - Stevie Wonder inked a seven year, $13 million contract. The agreement was the largest deal in the recording industry at the time.
1976 The Beach Boys: It's O.K., a 15th anniversary special on the group, aired on NBC.
1992 Totos Jeff Porcaro died at age 38 of cardiac arrest. The drummer was spraying insecticide in his yard when he experienced an allergic reaction that triggered the heart attack.
