1956 - Elvis Presley released his classic song, "Hound Dog."
1957 - The Everly Brothers played "Wake Up Little Susie" and "Bye Bye Love" on their second appearance on The Ed Sullivan Show.
1958 - Billboard Magazine introduced the influential "Hot 100" chart. The first number one song was "Poor Little Fool" by Ricky Nelson.
