1963 - The Beatles played their last gig at Liverpool’s Cavern Club. The Fab Four had performed almost 300 shows at the club since 1961.
1963 – The album Surfer Girl by The Beach Boys was released.
1963 - Allan Sherman released "Hello Muddah, Hello Fadda."
1968 - The Newport Pop Festival enjoyed its first outing in Costa Mesa, California.
1969 – The Beach Boys’ Carl Wilson was indicted after failing to report for civilian duty in lieu of serving two years in the army.
