1976 - Blue Oyster Cult released their album Agents of Fortune.
1977 - Led Zeppelin performed a one-off concert in San Diego between six shows in New York and six gigs in Los Angeles.
1982 Newly founded supergroup Asias self-titled debut topped the albums chart.
1984 - Tickets for a 10-night run by Bruce Springsteen at New Jerseys Meadowlands Arena went on sale. A day later, 202,000 tickets had been bought by fans.
1986 The Genesis single Invisible Touch hit #3 in the US.
2000 - Professor Patrick Ladd joined Bob Dylans group at a show in Portland, Oregon, signing Dylans lyrics for the hearing impaired.
2003 - Festival organizers canceled the opening date of the Lollapalooza tour because Janes Addictions stage wouldnt fit Michigans Ionia County Fairgrounds venue.
